Strength in Management
VRT's strengths revolve around two highly developed product technologies for the treatment of several ocular diseases - Vitreosolve® and Neurosolve®. These products in conjunction with an experienced and very effective management team have allowed VRT to quickly and cost effectively demonstrate the safety and efficacy of its core product technologies in numerous human clinical trials. This potent product development strategy has allowed VRT to rapidly bring together GMP manufacturing, stability testing, pharmacokinetics, and animal preclinical testing. Several hundred human phase-II study patients completed the trials. Vitreosolve was well-tolerated with suggestion of efficacy. VRT's products are well positioned within the ophthalmic industry. Vitreosolve treats the condition of moderate diabetic retinopathy and glaucomatous vision loss, that are both widespread and inadequately treated at the present time. These products represent novel approaches to disease processes with huge market potential and little competition.
