Age related macular degeneration (ARMD) is a deterioration of the retina. ARMD is the leading cause of blindness in the United States in senior citizens.

The Disease
ARMD is a disease of the pigmented cells of the retina leading to central vision loss in older individuals.

The Opportunity
Dry ARMD patients are currently without a cure or procedure to alleviate their blinding vision loss.

The Solution
Further studies are planned for the future to explore the treatment of ARMD patients.
